The Sigma Five ** 45 rpm ** RARE garage rock -- Plays well--not mint!

- Comin' down / Pop top -- Record label: Riviera -- Record#: 1408
Special note to foreign bidders: PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING!! IN PURCHASING THIS ITEM, YOU ARE AGREEING THERE ARE NO REFUNDS FOR ANY REASON ON FOREIGN SHIPMENTS. In order for me to ship out of the U.S., it is much more effort and expense.
- Because of this, I do not ship to foreign buyers if the value of the item is less than $20.
- For items $20-$50, I can ship First class International to buyers with perfect feedback. This method is NOT insurable or trackable, but costs less. Weight must be less than 4 pounds.
- For items $50-$100, I would ship via priority mail international with insurance for the value bid. Some countries do not allow insurance. Please e-mail for shipping costs before bidding as this method costs more, but is insurable (usually) and trackable.
- For items > $100, it will have to go some method that can be signed for. Global Express, probably, it is expensive!
Examples of shipping as of 2/22/18(to the U.K.):
- 9 ounces - $23.50 (first class international) + cost of box
- 9 ounces - $35.25 (Priority Mail International) + cost of box
- 9 ounces - > $50 + (Global Express) + cost of box
Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying. I declare foreign shipments as merchandise with the value you bid for them.

Description: Up for your consideration is the next in a series of unique discs, this one by The Sigma Five. Internet info showed this is a group from Indiana that also recorded as "The Kastaways."
Several unique things about this auction: Firstly, this disc retains lots of the original shine with some very light to light marks, grading by sight in normal room light. I'm sure if you took this and put it under a 1000 watt bulb, you'd probably find something that makes it less than mint. If you're that kind of collector, let me suggest this auction is not for you.
I don't claim this record is mint. I took the time to play it and found the two sides to audibly average about 1/3 of the way between VG+(excellent) and Near Mint. You can assign your own grade based on my comments and the grading scale shown below.
Secondly, at the time of this listing, NO COPIES FOUND FOR SALE OUT ON THE INTERNET!!! So this is your chance to own a unique item at a reasonable price. Bid early and often so you don't miss out on this auction!

I am using the Goldmine scale of G=Good(1), VG = Very Good(2), VG+ = Very Good Plus(excellent)(3), NM = Near Mint(4) when grading the disc(s).
Here is a summary of the record(s):
Additional criteria I use when audibly grading records for people:
- NM(4) = absolutely nothing wrong at all (very rarely happens--I've even opened sealed records and they don't play Near Mint)
- 3.5-3.9 = very, very light surface noise
- 3.1-3.4 = very light surface noise, very light pops
- VG+(3) = up to light pops and light surface noise (below this, one's enjoyment is affected, very subjective)
- VG(2) = up to medium pops and moderate surface noise
- G(1) = up to heavy pops and heavy surface noise
I normally ship 7" discs in 12"x10"x3" boxes. Weight with box is about 9 oz. Shipping is: $2.66 Media Rate (0-1 pounds) + $1.00 box/tape/packing + $.34 handling = $4.00.
Buyer pays shipping/handling. Standard method within U.S. is Media Rate, $4.00. This includes delivery confirmation which enables you to track shipping of your package online. Outside U.S., e-mail location to determine S/H costs prior to auction end. Insurance / other methods of shipping cost extra. Payment received within ten days of auction ending. Payment via Paypal preferred.
