Description
I currently have up for auction two of the rarest releases on the highly collectable Deram label, John Cameron Quartet Off Centre and The Web Fully Interlocking. Do not miss this opportunity to own one or both of these increasingly elusive releases, mint copies often change hands for well in excess of £100. Yes, the starting prices are not cheap but there is no reserve, so you still stand the chance to catch them at a very reasonable price considering their scarcity. These albums are certified Record Digger's gems with samples galore...The Web Fully Interlocking Promo (US) Copy on Deram 1968. The Vinyl looks and plays Ex, original inner sleeve, unfortunately the cover (which is otherwise solid, with no splitting and would be Ex also) is let down by water damage, so I would say it is only VG/VG-. This can be seen as some damp/mould spotting along the bottom edges, a slight buckling to the paper laminate in the bottom front left corner and a couple of surface tears close to the spine edge (please see photos), there is also a White Promotional Copy sticker strategically placed on one of the kaleidoscope cogs. Please note this is one of those pasted paper laminate covers, which rarely age well. The Web were a UK Psych Prog band, fronted by US vocalist John.L.Watson, the album is one of the early Productions of Mike Vernon (of Blue Horizon fame), with musical arrangements by Terry Noonan. Deram # DES 18018. 1968. Elaborate jazzy prog with high production values. Hard to classify the many styles touched upon by this group. Track Listing: City of Darkness, Harold Dubbleyew, Hatton Mill Morning, Green Side Up, Wallpaper, Did You Die Four Years Ago Tonight?, Watcha Kelele, Reverend J. McKinnon, Sunday Joint, War or Peace Suite (including; Theme, East meets West, Battle Scene Conscience, Epilogue.
