Description

Very rare (at least !) french 10 inch Swing M 33.342, by Thelonious Monk, recorded in Paris. This is the original 10 inch issue "Swing", not the laters issues on Vogue label. Titles (solo piano) are 'Round About Midnight, Reflections, Smoke Gets In Your Eyes, Well You Needn't, Portrait Of An Ermite, Manganese, Eronel, Off Minor.

Cover is beautiful, near mint on front, VG+ (few ringwear) on back. Labels are near mint (see pictures !). Side one of the record is VG, with pops and clicks (dust, I don't clean myself), more at the begining of the side, but no scratches, no jumps, glossy vinyl, and light scuffs. Good sound. Side two of the record is better, VG/VG+ with same pops and clicks (old dust), but less. No skips, no scratches. Well, this rare record is not new, but still very collectable and enjoyable.

Good bidding ! (value on european jazz price guide, between 750 and 1000 euros)
