RARE THIN LIZZY Vagabonds Of The Western World ’73 1st Press in EX++/VG+ Cond

Welcome to my listings.
To all overseas bidders Please read before bidding. I will not falsify any information when sending custom declarations ( So please do not message me and ask that I do so ). I will indicate the true value of any item that has been sold. Buyers are responsible for all Customs Duty/Import Charges in their own country. All items are packed and dispatched in heavy duty LP mailers with cardboard reinforcements. I use heavy duty packaging tape. I always separate the LP from the sleeve and any inner sleeves that are part of the LP. This stops any damage to the item while in transit.

THIN LIZZY Vagabonds Of The Western World Rare and becoming increasingly harder to find genuine Original 1973 UK First issue 8-track Stereo vinyl LP - The third studio album from the Irish legends. Complete with the scarce illustrated lyric insert, and the the Jim Fitzpatrick designed picture sleeve. . A wonderful example of this brilliant album - SKL5170


PLAY GRADED: VISUAL GRADING

Equipment used to test this LP was my Townshend Rock II turntable positioned on a Townshend Seismic Vibration Isolation Platform, with a Linn Ittok modified arm and Audio Technica VM95ML Shibata modified cartridge feeding through a Trilogy 906 phono stage positioned on a Townshend Seismic Sink. Amplification is a Lavardin IS amp positioned on a Townshend Seismic Vibration Isolation Platform. Speakers are bi-wired Nordost Blue Heaven Rev II Speaker Cable Impluse H6's positioned on Townshend Seismic Isolation Bars.


The LP was played through its entirety and there was just very light minimal surface noise heard through the very quieter moments and inbetween tracks. There were no annoying skips, jumps of mis-tracking. While listening no track exhibited any sticking. There were no loud pops or any other annoying defects heard. There was no noise distortion, while listening the music flowed with crystal clear clarity. If marking out of 10 then this is easily a 9.9 out of 10 playback. Very Nr Mint play.

 

Please note that this is a used item and there is always isolated static, ticks, light pops that maybe or can be heard, even in the quieter places during the play of any vinyl. There will be elements of surface noise.

Please remember that this is an Original 53 year old LP.
I cannot guarantee exactly how this LP will sound on your turntable/system - Cartridge and stylus profile, tracking weight, Arm VTA, arm type all go to make a difference to the sound and performance of any LP/single being played.


THE COVER: The Jim Fitzpatrick cover shows only very light minimal wear to the top and bottom edges. The spine remains intact with the text still bold and legible. There is just very light minimal creasing to the spine. All corners show the lightest minimal signs of wear but are free from any age related rounding of the corners. The surface no major storage scuffing. The opening edge remains clean with NO feathering otherwise there are no signs of any other forms of damage. I have graded the cover in EXCELLENT++ condition.


THE BACK COVER: The back cover remains as the front. No other signs of any damage are visible. I have graded the back cover again in EXCELLENT++ condition.


THE INNER SLEEVE: Plain White


THE INSERT: The lyric insert has been graded in EXCELLENT++ condition with no signs of damage.


THE VINYL: Both sides of this vinyl LP still retain all their original lustre and sheen with no dulling and in daylight looks awesome. Placed under a 100w bulb there are light hairline and marks to both sides which have not effected any track while playing and listening. There are no deep scratches or major surface marks which can be seen or felt. I have graded this vinyl in EXCELLENT+ condition.

Side 1 in EXCELLENT+ condition. Side 2 in EXCELLENT+ condition.


THE LABELS: The labels are in EXCELLENT condition with very light spindle marks. There is just very light wear around the central spindle hole.
