PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! Original 1973 first pressing VERY FIRST and probably best Lp from the band that weave magical & creative progressive rock music... FRUUPP ... 'Future Legends', is an amazing example of early hard edged symphonic prog of the highest order. The compositions are filled with incredible passages and carefully executed performances by each musician. A classical introduction by the band leads us into the first major song, 'Decision', full of churning hard-rock riffs and a rumbling rhythm section...the crunchy guitar is sharp and expressive. Brief complex rhythms give temporary relief throughout as the searing guitar oriented sections of composer Vince McCusker take control, are backed with incredible moving bass work and tasteful vocals. It really is difficult for one who is so blown out by this band to give a totally critical analysis of this band's albums. Think of a hader edged but equally brillant as works by GNIDROLOG....
And so we start with: 'As Day Breaks With Dawn' an abrupt contrast of mellow and energetic passages - the keyboard led melodies of the softer sections blending effortlessly with the psychedelic organ driven passages (possibly playing a 'Galanti' organ) adding unique, multi-coloured hues to the tune. So good. Highlight of Side 1 is 'Graveyard Epistle', another 6 min+ tune alternating between complex, heavy sections, to reflective verses, showcasing the band's emotive tendencies, and gives way to a Turkish- sounding mid-section led by Houston's precision Oboe playing and more warbling organ-work. If the listener isn't in *heaven* by now....... Side 2 kicks off with 'Lord Of The Incubus', a frantic, fast-paced track full of surging organs and incredible guitari work, rocking as all-hell with rocked-out elements, this song should not fail to excite open-minded listeners. 'Old Tyme Future' is simply amazing, consisting of beautiful melodies and contrasts. The lengthy epic, 'Song For A Thought' is played with a true 'Pink Floyd flavour - laid-back progressions and vocals for the first 5 mins, trailing off with a heavier end section. The record is rounded off with a brief vocal harmony, bringing to a close one absolutely essential piece of prog rock, rated highly by collectors and deservedly so....
