TROUBLE TRIBE
Rare 1990
Radio Only Promotional Copy
Original Vintage Vinyl LP Chrysalis SPRO 23576
Description: I received this special radio only promotional copy of Trouble Tribe's self titled EP when I worked in radio. Never played it so it is mint, unplayed in its original pictorial paper sleeve.
This LP was put out by Chrysalis Records in 1990 to radio only and was not made available to the general public. It is a nice little glam metal gem that is worth seeking out.
Trouble Tribe is one one of the more obscure Hair Metal bands of the early 90?s from New York City.
This band features singer Jimmy Driscoll, Adam Wacht on lead guitar, Eric Klaastad on bass and Stephen Durrell on drums.
The band had 2 Hits on MTV with Here Comes Trouble & Tattoo.
It is an awesome rarity by one of the lesser known bands of the hair metal era.
After Trouble Tribe broke up, Adam Wacht later played in the bands Left For Dead and Opinion with drummer Bobby Borg. Jimmy Driscoll started the band, In the Wild. Soundwise, they do their best to mold Poison, Bon Jovi and Warrant together into an enjoyable listen. If you like melodic hard rock and hair metal music, you'll love this record.
an Amazon Reviewer -
Trouble Tribe were a late entry into the hard rock scene of the late 80's to the early 90's which included more popular acts such as Warrant, Firehouse, Steelheart, Lillian Axe etc. - had they been out before the grunge rock explosion I reckon they could have been a lot bigger. Apart from the two bands named above they closely play like Danger Danger's first two albums on many songs but with a harder Babylon A.D. sound on others. Decent singer, good guitarist and a drummer with serious beat.
Track listing (both sides A&B are the same songs)
1 Boys Nite Out 4:29
2 Red Light Zone 4:34
3 Tattoo 4:08
4 Here Comes Trouble 5:07
5 Gimme Something Sweet 4:01
6 F's Nightmare 0:53
Condition:
LP - Mint and unplayed - Never fully removed from sleeve. I just now partially looked to check that both sides were indeed the same.
LP Cover -is a paper sleeve as issued. On rear it is stamped "Promotional Copy Not For Sale" in one corner and other corner "For Promotional Use Only." The condition is great - you can see the impression of the record and the label coming through the thin paper cover. Has the tiniest of age wear and a small crease in one corner otherwise near mint.
