Description
This is a rare and rockin' single from THE THIRTEENTH FLOOR ELEVATORS,
(Roky Erickson), an American rock band formed in Austin, Texas in 1965. They
were vital cogs in the garage and punk rock genre, and at the leading edge of
Psychedelic Rock. Unfortunately, the drugs and paranoia caused Roky some
mental problems which put him away for awhile and split the band up. This was
distributed in Canada by LONDON RECORDS on the INTERNATIONAL ARTISTS
RECORDS dark blue label IA. 107, 1966. I got this from a DJ (NOT marked Promo)
who marked the label on side 1 with two red x's and the date in blue ink (see pic).
The titles are "YOU'RE GONNA MISS ME" (written by Erickson) and "TRIED TO
HIDE", which was their only single to chart. It is a great record with some fantastic
guitar and harmonica. The labels are VG+ and the Vinyl is VG visually due to many
light surface marks (no effect), and VG+ audibly.
