Description
Up for sale folks is a rare copy of The Beatles SWBO-101 White Album. This is from the estate of a local Beatles enthusiast and was the center of his collection. What you are looking at is an extremely low numbered copy, (0009825) and is complete with pictures and poster. This also has some of the label errors such as: Side 1, track 4: Obladi Oblada (Instead of "OB-LA-DI OB-LA-DA") Side 1, track 6: Bungalow Bill (Instead "The Continuing Story of Bungalow Bill") Side 2, track 5: Rocky Racoon (Missing the second "C" in Raccoon.
Originally the very early ones had a total of 7 errors within the two records. Most of the seven were corrected, but because this is an early pressing, some slipped through. I believe this to be a Los Angeles, Hollywood pressing as denoted by no prefix of any kind in front of the number on the cover. Matrix for each side reads as follows:
1. SWBO-1-101-J40 2. SWBO-2-101-J40 3. SWBO-3-101-J41 4. SWBO-4-101-J41
CONDITION: Sleeve is VG+ with two small circular stains on the front cover. Corners show wear, but presents very well. Very light 1" or less split on the top right of the gatefold sleeve. The title seam as a partial tear developing in the center. Records are VG with marks, scuffs, and scratches. A cleaning would help allow a superior audio quality and return some of the luster to the vinyl. Labels are VG++ with no writing of any kind. The poster and pictures are included and are in great shape. The poster has seam wear from being folded, but photos have a great shine.
