Description
So, after five decades of collecting vinyl and Hi-Fi, the time has finally come to downsize. Over the next few months, with great reluctance, I will be gradually selling off my treasured collection of records, cds and hi-fi equipment. It will take a while !!! For instant sale is a copy of the rare single from 1966 called 'SHAKE ME, WAKE ME' by THE FOUR TOPS. It is backed with 'JUST AS LONG AS YOU NEED ME' and is on the highly collectible TAMLA MOTOWN label with the catalogue number TMG 553. A genuine copy, it has the matrices TMG 553 A-1 and TMG 553 B-1 stamped in the runout grooves. It comes in a generic white sleeve. The labels are in very good condition but there are a few 'spindle trails' which you might be able to see in the photos. Side A also has a sticker attached which you can see in the photos although it might be possible to remove this with care. Please study the photos carefully to see the condition for yourself. Both sides of the record have many surface marks and scuffs from being taken in and out of the sleeve but there are no major scratches. The record is in very good condition and plays without any 'sticks' or 'jumps'. Both sides play really well without much surface noise ('crackle') or 'pops' and, in fact, play much better than what you might expect by looking at the record surfaces. I will dispatch the record in a proper record mailer and will post within one working day of purchase by second class post so that it gets on its way to you as soon as possible.
