We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over 18,000 positive feedback. We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Kings of Oblivion is one of the best-kept secrets of hard rock – and an important part of the early '70s UK underground rock history. If you like your rock and roll “real,” it doesn’t get much more real than this. Just don’t go expecting Judas Priest, AC/DC or Black Sabbath; This is high-energy rock that truly belongs on the streets, and a landmark album in its genre. Truly a classic.
Released on Polydor UK in 1973, the LP features the three piece line up of Larry Wallis (just pre-Motörhead), Duncan Sanderson and Russell Hunter. Classic heavy-rock and punk-edged burners up and down both sides -- the Lp represents one of the last gasps of the UK '70s rock underground.
An album of soaring Marshall Super-fuzzed guitar anthems and "Swinging London" grooves, this was the last PINK FAIRIES album while they were still a cohesive unit. The guitarist was none other than Larry Wallis, who had moved onto later-period Blodwyn Pig and then UFO before Mick Farren suggested the open spot in the Pink Fairies.

He brought not only his cranked Stratocaster riffing and a good sense of structured songwriting to hang his flowing reckless guitar style upon, but a gleeful sense of humor and overall wiseacre rock and roll sensibility...an album most people weren't expecting from The Pink Fairies at this point in time -- a strong, vibrant testimony to their no-bullshit rock and roll. And live it was even shatteringly LOUDER than before, which is damn near incomprehensible and frightening to even think about.
If you are curious about inspired Motorhead’s unique sound, and have already explored MC5, The Stooges, Hawkwind and The Groundhogs, then go no further than this album. Larry Wallis and Duncan Sanderson later appeared on early Motorhead recordings and the song “City Kids”, debuting here, is also featured on Motorhead’s 1979 LP On Parole.
“City Kids” by the Fairies is more stark than Lemmy’s amphetamine-enriched version, but no less powerful. Elsewhere: ‘I wish I was a Girl” is a track worthy of the Groundhogs “Split” album in its inventiveness – but the raw power is undiminished. Further on, “When’s the Fun Begin” is not one to listen to if you’re verging on a depression, but provides a nice contrast to the driving “Chromium Plating” and “Raceway.”
Something about these tracks actually seems to contain the acrid smell and excitement of motor racing in a far less clinical way than say, Fleetwood Mac’s “The Chain.” While “Chambermaid” is quirky and may require several listens to pick up on the humour, and then “Street Urchin” is the track that leaves you wanting more, more, more..............
