RARE ORIGINAL UK DOUBLE LP - "The Story Of Oak Records"(Tenth Planet TP010). Released in 1994, this is an absolute FANTASTIC compilation of the MEGA-RARE "Oak Records" label single releases from 1963 (The Wild Oats "You Can't Judge A Book By It's Cover") through to 1971 (Factory "Time Machine"). There are 28 tracks in total, with other contributions from such as The Thyrds, The Herd, The Act, The Hickory Stix, Mike Stuart Span etc etc. SUPERB!! Combined with what must be the most elaborate and detailed sleeve notes I've EVER come across on a record sleeve ( with background notes about each and every group featured on the album).
