This item is:

  • An unusual, potentially very rare UK copy of David Bowie's Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and The Spiders From Mars
  • The stamped matrix in the dead wax is DWLP-2001-A-1  / DWLP-2001-B-1.
  • This matrix is not the usual for this lp, with a little research it appears that this lp was made by Tangerine Rock Music Library in the UK - from it's release page on Discogs it appears that a Tangerine Rock Music Library label may lie underneath the orange RCA labels. Maybe Tangerine Rock Music Library is associated with the UK label Tangerine? The labels certainly seem similar. 
  • Looking closely at the centre hole and labels, it is possible that the orange label may be overlapping another label - please see photos.
  • 2 VG copies are on Discogs starting at £1,000..... definitely an interesting release!
  • The record grades EX+ / EX, lightest signs of use.
  • Sleeve is VG+ with general light storage wear
  • Original printed inner sleeve is VG+, a nice example, has some light age toning
