Description
This lot is for a record album (33 rpm LP) by "THE ROLLING STONES" and titled "NOW" .
The record label is by LONDON RECORDS, label #PS-420, stereo version.
This label is the rare "unboxed" London version (there is no box around the word "London").
Both the dead wax on the record as well as on the label, have #ZAL-6691 & ZAL-6692.
I only see some minimal surface scratches on the record when held against the light at an angle.
The jacket cover has some minimal surface wear with just the start of a ringwear on the front cover.
The back cover shows some browning spots. Otherwise both the front and back covers are clean.
There are no split seams/edges on the cover jacket.
The back cover indicates "copyright 1964, The Decca Record Company Limited, London (see close-up scans).
This rare version is listed by others up to $340.00.
Opening bid for this lot is only $65.00.
Since I am not a record specialist, I try to describe the items the best that I can and leave the condition grading up to you.
I mail all my records in a record cardboard box - not an envelope.
It will be well padded to avoid shifting during transit, and I remove the record from the cover jacket and place it next to the jacket. This prevents the edge of the record from splitting the jacket seams while being mishandled by the post office during transit. (I am sure that many buyers received an otherwise very good record jacket that was split at the seams - in all probability caused during the mail process when the record was left inside the jacket.)
