Description
Unique item ! Gary Glitter's First LP Glitter, signed by Gary Glitter & Mike Leander his manager, producer and song-writing partner. Interestingly, Gary has clearly signed as 'Paul' changed it to 'Gary' and then changed it to 'Thanks' and signed 'Gary Glitter' further up.
The autographs read "Tony Best of Luck Gary Glitter" and "Thanks for your help, Tony, Mike Leander".
Tony or TW is thought to be Tony Leornard (Anthony Woolnough) who played drums.
There is handwriting on the original inner sleeve saying "Gary Glitter's first LP called Glitter out Friday Oct 6th 1972" - probably for someone to announce (broadcast promotion). The other side of the inner sleeve reads "Fox West Green Road Tottenham 8.00-10.30 - £3.00 Terry Hollingsworth - (is this the radio promoter currently at Vivid Records?)
Original Bell Records promotional poster is in mint condition. Record is in good playable condition and record cover is also in good condition.
Record label has stickers on saying 'TW' and 'A' and 'B'.
'=x TW' is marked into run-off on both sides.

The Glitter Band (originally – though briefly – called The Glittermen) were formed by producer Mike Leander in 1972 as backing and session musicians for Gary Glitter.
Several of the band had played with Glitter in The Boston Showband during the 1960s when he was still known as Paul Raven including Tony Leonard (Anthony Woolnough).
