Rare Vertigo swirl Psych rock - country folk masterpiece with suitable history to match. There are hardly any Australian pressings of this album available and in good condition too!
This Irish experimental folk group lived in Dublin and apart from their gift of producing relevant progressive psych, also influenced members of Irish rock and folk, including Thin Lizzy's Phil Lynott, Gary Moore and others. They were only together for four years but have reformed for various occasions since then and have played with THE POGUES & STEELEYE SPAN.
OF NOTE is the strange Roger Dean artwork on the cover!
From Progarchives: "The better tracks on the album are the longer ones and the 8-mins Sign On My Mind (closing side 1) is the album's cornerstone, but the flipside's opener, the 6-mins Gave My Love An Apple as it develops into a boogie after a rocky roll-out- barrels barroom song. But it's definitely too little & too few for real proghead interest. As for the folk side of things, it is average with a very pleasant flute, mandolin/bouzouki and harmonium/organ, but it never drives you out of your mind."
However, this album is a highly collectable one and as an Australian press in decent condition, a good addition to any folk/prog collectors collection.

The record vinyl is VG+ condition, sound quality is good, vinyl is glossy and gleaming. There is a long scratch across all tracks and edge scuffing on Side 2 – but definately playable.
Both the labels are in EX+ condition and white as that Vertigo white can be!
The record sleeve is in VG+ condition having no rips, tears or scratches, but visible edge, ring and or storage wear on both sides and a crease on the front left hand top corner.
We have already given it a VPI machine clean but it could do with a revirginator clean.

RECORD GRADING
Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.
NM: The record appears virtually flawless. If there is a flaw, it should be very hard to see. Very minor scuffs and very little else can appear on the vinyl. It should play clean with a crisp audio throughout, without any noise over the flaw.
Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
Very good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
Good: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
Please note there may be a difference between grading with a PLUS OR MINUS this means that there is a slight upgrade/downgrade.
