Description
Presenting the VERY FIRST Thomas the Tank Engine audio release, the author of the Railway Series, Wilbert Awdry reads the very first two stories he wrote which were published in 1945's the Three Railway Engines, this is the only release of the stories read by the author as later stories were narrated by the likes of Johhny Morris and Willie Rushton.
Recorded on a two sided 7'inch, the stories also include recorded railway sound effects.
When first released, this record was soon deleted because it was impossible to sell at a reasonable price due to the small production costs, royalty costs to publishers and discounts to retailers, as a result it as become an extremely high collectors item for Thomas fans and railway buffs.
Considering it's age (1957) the sleeve shows signs of small wear and tear but the record is in good condition and is protected in a bag
