Always Was, Is And Always Shall Be is the debut studio album by American punk rock musician GG Allin, recorded and released in 1980 on Orange Records. Except the first three songs which were recorded in 1978 and released as a single in 1979. The songs "Cheri Love Affair" and "1980's Rock 'N Roll" were first recorded and released as a single in 1979, but rerecorded for this album.
Most notable, Allin's singing voice had not yet deteriorated. The music is of much higher quality in terms of both sound recording and playing than Allin's later output. The heavily New York Dolls and Stooges-influenced music itself is a catchy mix of power pop and hardcore punk, like most of Allin's early material up until the mid-1980s.

RealName Kevin Michael (née Jesus Christ) Allin
Profile: GG Allin was born on August 29th, 1956, in Lancaster, New Hampshire. GG was a hardcore punk singer and bandleader who performed and recorded with many groups during his dramatic career.He is best remembered for his notorious live performances that typically featured wildly transgressive acts such as Allin defecating onstage, committing self harm, and a variety of violent actions towards the audience. Although more notorious for his stage antics than for his wide body of music, he recorded prolifically, not only in the punk rock genre, but also in spoken word, country and western and Rolling Stones-influenced rock.
GG had always stated he would one day kill himself on stage but before he ever got the chance to follow through with this threat he died of a heroin overdose in New York on June 28th, 1993.
The Jabbers are an American punk rock band. Once fronted by a young GG Allin at the beginning of his career in the late-'70s to mid-'80s, many of his most well known songs were recorded with this band, such as "Assface", "Don't Talk to Me" and "Bored to Death".The group disintegrated in 1984, around the time when the depravity of Allin's increased heroin addiction had grown and he was regularly in and out of prison.
