Description
An absolutely gorgeous example of this rare record. Features the original 1939 release of Vera’s wartime hit “We’ll Meet Again” backed with “Later On” on the flip side. This is the version including the Novachord, not the wartime version. Only flaw being a very slight chip to the playing surface (as pictured). It is at the beginning of the record and has not cracked the disc. The labels are superb too for its age! I believe this will look stunning and be a very high grade example once cleaned (I regularly clean 78’s but don’t trust myself cleaning this one!). Plays great with no skips, there is some slight background hiss which I’d say is the normal amount for a 78. Also has the original Decca sleeve, although there is a big chunk of sleeve missing. If I find a replacement sleeve with the same design that’s in better condition, I will include the nicer sleeve along with the original torn sleeve.
Overall, this is a gorgeous example of this increasingly rare record, a fine addition to a collection.
