Up for BUY IT NOW is extremely rare album cover from 1979 by Parolphone Records, THE BEATLES HELP ! The famous SHELL album cover!
HISTORY OF THE BEATLES HELP! SHELL ALBUM: This album was commissioned by the oil and gas company Shell in 1979. They pressed only 2000 as kick-off of their "Shell Helps" campaign.
The album was issued ONLY in the Netherlands (but partly pressed in Sweden) and distributed among employees. It's the only known occasion where a Beatles album cover has been changed so drastically for commercial purposes other than their own. It is shocking that PARLOPHONE or The Beatles would have allowed it BUT THEY DID. It was bootlegged later with crappy graphics and inferior vinyl pressing.
