Description
Rare album titled "The Conquest of Space". This 2-record set was released on the VOX label (Science Series, DL-522 Mono) in 1959. This historic and hard to find LP features a scientific discussion between legendary German rocket scientists, Doctors Wernher Von Braun and Willy Ley. It was recorded on June 9, 1959, in New York City and on June 23, 1959, at the Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama.
While the cover does have just a minimal amount of wear, both records look although they had never been taken out of their plastic sleeves until I took them out. I am not an expert on records but they look mint or near-mint to me. This was in the home of my grandfather who lived to be 102. It does have a slight mothball smell since it was in storage, but I'm sure that will dissipate as it gets some fresh air : )
