Description

This is the original 1974 rarest of his albums in existence. Recorded at Sound Ideas Studio, New York, N.Y on Feb 19, 1974. Self produced by Weldon J. Irvine Jr.  printed in U.S.A. Strata - East label. Featuring the keyboard artistry of "Virginia " Joe Jones.  I am not a collector, but was given approx 300 albums from a relative ( along with numerous other items ) as they are cleaning out their home to renovate. I was told to just throw everything away, just get rid of it, give to Goodwill, just get this stuff out of my house. So I grabbed the 1st 30 or so from the  first container and begin my research. I do know the rarity of this album and approx how much they have sold for depending on condition. I have described the album itself, sleeve and cover to the best of my ability and included pics to show cover, etc.  As stated, record itself appears perfect to me, anything you see in the pics would be a shadow or glare from camera. I have received so many questions it is becoming a bit overwhelming so I wanted to address everyone interested in this auction. I stated I am not a collector which prompted many ?'s such as how do I know what I am doing?, how do I even know how to grade an album, etc.
Let me assure you I did not just grab an album out of the 400 I now have and throw it on Ebay. I spent 2 weeks and many long hours attempting to learn as much as one could about albums such as grading covers, sleeves, and the vinyl itself along with learning about Promotional albums, record labels, first pressings, re-issues, white label albums (which I see I have a lot of) ,how to correctly package and mail an album, as well as looking up values of albums.
NO, I am not an expert by far but I did learn a lot. I am not someone who would just jump into selling records without gaining some knowledge first. Hopefully this will help you to understand that I feel confident in my grading and description of this album.
