Description
Joe Franklin "The Friendly Farm Boy" and His Mimosa Quartet 78 " I Feel The Blood Of Jesus / Shine ON Me " Blue Ridge Records 6011 78 RPM 1951. The labels have "Hillbilly Series" and "Sacred Singing. Piano by M. M. Turner. The superior side is "Shine on Me" Nice up-tempo Bluegrass/Gospel tune. Almost Country Bop or Rockabilly. These guys were pretty good. Both sides of the record have a lot of scratches and scuffs/smudges. Nothing terrible but some can be felt. It plays with crackling/sizzling/popping and an occasional "tick" but the voices and the instruments still come through pretty loud and strong. The labels have some wear and tracks and smudges.
