1968 UK APPLE RECORDS Two vinyl LP – PMC 7067/8 that have barely been played then kept in original sleeves and top opener gatefold outer sleeve in storage. This pressing is a superb vinyl which has retained its amazing glossy sheen and finish. There is no dulling anywhere and overall it is in incredible condition for an LP of this age.
This rare complete set in this condition also features the 'Mtd in UK' (manufactured in the UK) 'Sold in UK...' and 'An EMI recording' text on all four of the iconic 'APPLE' record labels - please see images.
- Early unique issue number No.0248752
- A beautiful, complete and 100% genuine set
- LPs barely played unlike most of these original records which were played ALOT. To my knowledge this has been played a couple of times possible three times. This is immediately recognisable when you see the incredible condition of the vinyls (please see images)
- Own one of the most Influential and Iconic Albums of the 20th Century, this is an original and 100% complete 1968 UK Apple Records ** FIRST ISSUE MONO** two vinyl LP Set for The White Album, entitled ‘The BEATLES’ in the original, iconic embossed text...
This complete set includes: -Garrod and Lofthouse top opening, fully laminated gatefold sleeve. The inside left hand side features the full track list all of which is perfectly legible. The right hand side features four black and white portraits one of each of the Beatles
-The two original UK first issue mono LPs (Side 1, 2, 3 and 4)
-Four original Full Colour glossy photographs – one of each Beatle
-Large and original double sided lyric/picture poster printed by Garrod and Lofthouse 1968
-Two original 1968 black die-cut inner record bags. The set is housed within its original and superb, First Issue, Fully Laminated top opening numbered, 0316663, Gatefold Sleeve.
LP Description/Condition: The two First Issue mono Vinyl LPs are on the traditional Dark Green Apple label, all with the ‘Sold in UK label text, all four sides of the record labels are **WITH** the E.M.I. Recording Reference, and with ‘Mfd. In UK’ label text to all four record labels.
All four record labels in undamaged Excellent condition, superb, undamaged record labels with vivid Black Print, with very little to no sign of play to the centre spindle holes on each label.
Inners: Very good/Excellent condition Original BLACK inners. They have the die-cut corners and the 'windows' on one side exposing the Apple labels. They have been incredibly well looked after like the vinyls. They feature slight feathering to the openings and there is are two tears around one of the windows and some minor creasing but extremely good otherwise - please see images
Pictures: ALL present - John and George, Ringo & Paul They are NEAR MINT AND ORIGINAL. Faint very thin white lines on Paul McCartney portrait and Ringo Star however these are only visible on very close inspection and in certain lights There are no pin-holes around their edges. The portraits genuinely look nearly new and are lovely and bright - please see images for closer inspection
Poster: Excellent condition full size and with lyrics to all tracks on the back, the colours are still strong and not faded. WITHOUT pin-up holes, creases or visible rips. Only features very minor hairline splits and slight thinning in the corners where the poster has been folded for a long period. As you can see from zooming in to the image these are not visible unless you are look extremely close up (3-6 centimetres away) - the poster is completely intact and looks perfect.
Original Garrod and Lofthouse gatefold sleeve: Unique issue No. 0248752 printed in the correct place (bottom right hand corner of front page - see image. This is the original TOP loading, laminated gatefold sleeve
The spine is strong and text legible. Laminate has split only on the spine. This has allowed some dust to collect on the spine however this is minimal and visible on close inspection - see see images Glorious and clean cover-creamy white, no bends/creases, no doodles, rips.
Tiny yellow/brown stain on a small bit of the corner of the embossed E and inner circle of the S, only visible on close inspection, see images. Inside perfect apart from very thin line of dust at the end of the tabs that seal that sleeve. This is very, very minor as you can see from the images:)
