HIGHLY COLLECTIBLE! PINK FLOYD-"THE PIPER AT THE GATES OF DAWN" Japanese LP Released 1983, EMI/HARVEST Records (EMS-50104).
Complete with OBI and insert.
Legendary debut album by Pink Floyd from 1967, written nearly in its entirety by founder and former leader Syd Barrett, a most gifted yet tortured creative force.
The line up on this album is comprised of Barrett, Roger Waters (whose heartfelt allegiance to Barrett influenced much of his own songwriting after Barrett's psychological decline and departure), Richard Wright, and Nick Mason.
Barrett's song topics and skilled craftsmanship were far ahead of their time as found in compositions like "See Emily Play," "Astronomy Domine," "Interstellar Overdrive," "The Scarecrow," "The Gnome," among other literate treasures.
Look into the eyes of the boy-child mad man on the cover of the album, and you see the soul of a tormented genius whose talent far exceeded his own threshold of anguish.
