Description
Here is a RARE vintage Doo Wop vocal group album from my collection offered up for sale: The Marcels album "Blue Moon" Released in 1961 by Colpix Records CP 416 Mono, this is a 1st pressing is on heavy weight rigid vinyl with the "gold" labels, features the classic "Blue Moon" song. This pressing has a high book value, up to $100, is valued for it's rarity and historical contribution rather than it's condition and audio quality, but it still plays and the bright music comes through, cool! Cool and RARE collectable!
The vinyl grades VG/VG+ overall, side one rates VG, has some faint sleeve marks, some long light marks but nothing feel-able, side two rates VG+, has only a few light marks, has been PLAY TESTED! Plays through from start to finish with very good sound, bright clear sound with a few errant light pops, unobtrusive, no skips or jumps, a very enjoyable listen! The cover rates VG, is clean and bright with minimal ring wear, the edges have wear with old tape and a couple additional splits were neatly re-glued, binder edge EX and readable, has only a couple small faint spot stains, no signatures or writing, edges have light age discoloration. (see all photos) Will be shipped in a .3 ml plastic sleeve in a record mailing box with tracking. Vinyl will be shipped in paper sleeve outside cover to prevent cover splits.
