  • The MEGA RARE -- black gospel -- BOOGIE/modern soul/FUNK -- 8-track LP -- by THE HODGE FAMILY SINGERS entitled IT'S NOT EASY (TRAVEL ON)!!
  • 1980 private release on LOVE RECORDS (LP-1001; HOUSTON, TEXAS, USA).
  • Every now and then a gem of a track from a private LP happens to fall in one's lap out of seemingly nowhere:  THE LORD WILL MAKE A WAY is such a gem! -- a simply awesome BOOGIE FUNK track both instrumentally and vocally -- see the first clip to hear a super-extended clip of this outstanding PRIVATE slice of SOUL HEAVEN!!
  • As for the rest of the LP, three other songs are definitely STRONG performers and clips of those tracks have been included in the second clip!

  • Shiny vinyl plays SUPERBLY and is visually VG+ to EXCELLENT (with some wispy hairlines and light scuffings); labels are a strong VG+ and EXCELLENT; cover is a nice VG (some cover/edge wear including some corner crunch-bends).
