Description
Up for auction this time is the super rare *awesome* xian psych LP by CHRISTBEARER- SONGS AND FRIENDS (private press released on Christbearer Records CR-1001 Stereo). From 1977 comes what is now recognized (through hush hush whispers) as one of the truly great xian psych seventies records. The LP movies through an array of different styles from the DR Hooker-sounding masterpiece cuts "Into The Light" & "Look" to the Michael Angelo-sounding "Twilight" to the Justen O'Brien & Jake-sounding wonderful cut "Melancholy Traveler. Killer playing throughout with soaring fuzz guitar and some of the finest electric folk heard on a xian private press. Every song is a winner from beginning to end..There is also a great write-up on the LP in the ACID ARCHIVES book with Ken Scott reviewing. Overall record grade = VG+/VG+..Some hairlines and a few scuffs but the record plays great with wonderful fidelity and the cover has some little dirt spots here and there (but hardly any ringwear) with some normal wear on the bottom right side.. The label on Side 1 of the record has a small blue sticker on it (check out my pictures)..Still, easily a keeper copy and since only 1 original copy has been up in the last 4 years that should tell you everything you need to know about this particular rarity..The song titles on the record are as follow:
