Description

PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question.   OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week.   Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.   We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music!    HEAVY TWIN GUITARS BLUERS ROCK 1970

               BURNING PLAGUE

\                                                               EUROPE - PRIVATE

Long long gone old European 2nd pressing of the 1970 Belgium underground *stars* BURNING PLAGUE...twin guitars dominated....

These guys delivered dirty raw hard blues rock...like Black Cat Bones ...Burning Plague’s self-titled 1970 debut album provided a flashpoint for Belgium’s burgeoning underground blues rock scene, ramping up the intensity so far at various points that it verged on heavy. It wasn’t quite enough to make the band famous so they languished in the underground, but their ballsy blues rock played through massive 100-watt Marshall stacks has made the original LP a highly-coveted collector’s item 45 years later and now commands princely sums.

Burning Plague were founded at the end of the sixties in and around Brussels as an answer to the reigning British and Dutch "blues boom" at that time (together with bands such as Kleptomania, Jenghiz Khan, Doctor Downtrip, Irish Coffee ...) BURNING PLAGUE:
- Michael Heslop (guitars, vocals)
- Roger Carlier (bass)
- Alex Capelle (guitars)
- Willy Stassen (drums)

When Brussels band Four Of A Kind split-up in august 1969, Wim Hombergen and Roger Wollaert formed Kleptomania. Guitar player / singer Michael Heslop (original from the UK) kept the heavy bluesrock-spirit alive in his new venture called Burning Plague. He got together with Roger Carlier (bass), Alex Capelle (guitar & piano) and Willy Stassen (drums and harmonica). They soon had crafted some extraordinary blues tunes, so when appearing at the clubs, they made quite impression. A few support slots made their star rise as they supported Pink Floyd and Yes when those two visited Belgium. In June 1970 they played at the then famous Puzzle P. along Kleptomania, Doctor Downtrip, Jenghiz Khan, Waterloo and Belgian hit-wonder Wallace Collection. And also the prestigious Bilzen Rock & Jazz festival put them on their bill in august 1970 (also with Black Sabbath and The Kinks). Their dominating and sizzling twin guitars shine within a well formulated sound that will remind many of a similar but superior style of BLACK CAT BONES.
