This was the Beatles' second official release, following their hugely popular Please Please Me. This record was released on the 30th November 1963 and went to the number 1 position (knocking of their own Please Please Me lp) on the 7th of December. Staying at number 1 for 21 weeks! As a little note: they had already sold 250,000 copies before the release and so accepted a silver disc BEFORE release!

(Not many of these variations were ever pressed-which shows in these low Mothers & Stampers)

VG+.
 There are only light marks which DO NOT make her jump or skip...I have just given her a gentle clean on a vacuum record cleaner and then listened to the WHOLE record without a problem.
I noticed a wonderfully rich, deep, warming audio reproduction with very little background noise...She remains clear throughout!
Sounded FAB turned right up ;)
FLAT vinyl, which remains shiny too.
Only marked VG+ due to the light visible marks-but they have hardly any affect at all to playback..Sounded glorious.

There are only some light spindle marks visible when angled towards the lightas well as some light hole wear to each side
Outer text "The Parlophone Co."  No "Sold In" text.
Small name of "Irene" written in black biro to both labels.
Remains very displayable

 Larger Mono in top right corner.
There are just a few small crescents of spidering to the front laminated cover-nothing bad at all. There are a few light and small lines of spidering to the top right corner and a few fingers emanating from the seams-but nothing offensive at all.
 There is only very light discolouration to the back card....Please see the detailed images.
Wonderfully strong LEGIBLE spine.
NO SPLITS TO THE SEAMS!
Small name to the back card, top left corner and tiny initials to the bottom left Parlophone logo...Nothing bad at all.
"You Really Gotta Hold On Me" IN-correct track listing to the back.
 Lovely, strong EJ DAY & Co. Ltd flipbacks.


Inner:
VG+.
 It is a period poly-lined inner...with the early "FOREIGN PATENTS PENDING" & "MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN" text to the bottom on one side.
There is a lovely dedication to one side:
"Dec 4th 1962
Mum & Dad
Irene"
Light disolouration, but remains solid and has certainly done her job over the last 50+ years!
