Description
"Words of Love" was never a hit for Buddy Holly, and the song probably owes its familiarity in part to a later version by the Beatles, which was a faithful reproduction of Buddy's original. Holly had recorded the song during a marathon recording session in May, 1957, overdubbing his own voice and guitar several times to achieve the desired effect. Released as his first Coral single in the U.S., it failed to make an impression and was not released here until 1962 when it was coupled with a re-issue of "Listen to me", just making the top 30 for two weeks at number 28. -- JOHN BEECHER.
This is Buddy's rarest record and is a REPRO with no etching in the deadwax. Beautiful record which I played only once.
