Please note that if played on equipment not designed for 78 rpm records playback quality will not be as full or as good as if played with a 3 mil needle and a cartridge designed to provide the correct range of tones. HI fidelity phonographs will produce additional surface noise levels as they amplify high frequency sounds produced by the grooves edges that older phonographs could not reproduce and therefore those sounds are not noticeable with the older phonographs. Of course there may be some surface noise on any 78 that has been played a few times or more as the older equipment also caused rapid wear.

*Grading of all records I offer up for auction is by spot checking by playback and or visual appearance. Minor deviations are possible and also individual opinion on grading varies. Please read my explanation of MY GRADING BELOW. If you are extra picky protect your self by not bidding. most folks will be more than satisfied with this and any other item I have described and offered.

MY GRADING EXPLANATIONS:

  • MINT...I have rarely described a record as being Mint as Mint is perfect

  • NEAR MINT.... is not perfect as that is what MINT is.Near mint has very minor imprefections but is shiny,plays without noticeable surface noise and has good quality.

  • VG++...IS NOT near mint but is still shiny with few very minor imperfections and and might be considered a very strong VG+.

  • VG+... is a nice copy with some scuffs and possible light scratches that are visible but surface is still shiny and plays with or without minor surface noise.

  • VG... has many visually noticeable scuffs,scratches etc,and may or may not play with surface noise,etc.

  • VG- is barely acceptable and plays with surface noise and has many visual imperfections.

  • Any grade below VG- is rough and barely playable and usually only only listed by me when it's rarity could still make it desireable when nothing better is easily available.Sometimes an unplayable or broken record will be listed for those bidders that would like a copy in any condition rather than to have no copy at all.
