Description
An incredibly hard-to-find original vinyl pressing of Rashied Ali & Frank Lowe's 1973 super-session "Duo Exchange" or just "Exchange". Issued in a small batch (not sure how many were made) on Ali's on Survival Records, this is the original issue, not sure if there have even been reissues of this one. This LP is a monster of high energy playing and in-the-red free music. Seriously, this is the stuff that free jazz enthusiasts or improvised music nuts can consider "Holy Grail" material. Two side-long pieces that go all over, tenor sax and drums akin to the most out there Albert Ayler, Coltrane (later period, think "Sun Ship" or "Stellar Regions"), Don Cherry, etc moments. This record has gone for big money on ebay before, but I'm starting the bidding low and setting no reserve. AN AMAZING RECORD!!! DON'T SLEEP ON THIS ONE!
The record and sleeve are both in incredible VG++/NM- condition. The vinyl is in incredible shape, mostly flawless, with only a slight, scant mark on one side that can't be felt, does not effect play and is really barely noticeable. No scratches, scuffs, surface noise, etc. The sleeve is in similar great shape. Very very minimal wear from storage, slightly bumped corners, but mostly incredible shape. Overall, the record has been preserved wonderfully and is in fantastic shape.
Domestic shipping via Priority Mail is $9.00. This usually takes 2-3 days. If you wanted Media Mail instead, it would be $4.00 and take a little longer. International Air Mail shipping would be $15.00 for and generally takes 4-7 days. The record will be packed carefully in a sturdy cardboard mailer, created just for the purpose of sending records undamaged through the mail. If you had any other shipping concerns, delivery confirmation, insurance, etc. I could work with that, too, but I cannot insure international shipping at all. Too risky and no real way to track it. Sorry guys. I will for sure ship anywhere in the world, but I can't be held responsible if the mail loses it or delays it. Returns are acceptable within 7 days of payment and only reasonable returns (i.e. it wasn't the right thing, condition was not as expected, etc.). Unsatisfied customers will be re-imbursed for full price of the item and postage paid, minus our eBay and paypal fees only once the item is received. The goal here is buyer satisfaction, and for there to be minimal hassle on both ends.
I accept paypal only, and all orders will be shipped instantly once payment is recieved.
