RAY BARRETTO - Acid (London HA8383) - LP - 1968

Tracks: El Nuevo Barretto, Mercy Mercy Baby, Acid, A Deeper Shade Of Soul, The Soul Drummers, Sola Te Dejare, Teacher Of Love, Espritu Libre.

Very nicely presented original mono pressing of Ray Barretto's classic Acid LP, released on the London label in 1968. The vinyl retains a very good / excellent sheen with just a few very light superficial surface marks and a couple of fine, ultra-light hairlines - nothing significant - see descriptions below. In addition, there are a few tiny, cloudy marks on Track 1 of the B-side - residue from the inner sleeve which lost its poly-lining sometime in the past - though these could well be removed with a deep clean.

A-side: There is only a tiny hint of any background surface noise - hardly audible in fact - with occasional tiny pops and clicks plus just a few more prominent ones on Track 1. Grade - VG+/EX- improving to EX

B-side: There is only a tiny hint of any background surface noise - hardly audible in fact - with occasional tiny pops and clicks plus just a few slightly more prominent ones. In addition, the tiny cloudy marks highlighted above cause approximately 30 moderate click-like licks of hiss on Track 1. Grade - VG-/VG improving to EX-/EX

Labels: Both labels are pristine (see scan).

Sleeve: There is just a tiny amount of bumping to the corners and a few light creases to the laminate.
