Description
This is the ABC-Paramount classic Ray Charles STEREO album released in 1962 entitled " Modern Sound in County & Western Music" (ABCS-410). This is Volume One and a second LP (Volume Two) was also released in 1962. Mega hits for Ray from this album include "I Can't Stop Loving You", "Born to Lose" and "You Win Again". This album was the largest seller of Ray's many albums and ranks #396 in Rolling Stone Magazine Top 500 Albums of All Time.
The vinyl is rated a strong EX+ as to condition. The original inner sleeve is included. The outer jacket with great cover photo of Ray by photographer Hugh Bell will make a splendid album cover to frame for one so inclined. It is noted that under light one can see a past owner's name blended with reddish ink in upper right corner above the album number.. The back cover has a couple of very small stains and tiny cracks (2) on bottom of cover (see photos). We also rate this jacket as a strong EX+. A new poly slip-in outer sleeve is included to help reserve this gem for another 54+ years.
The vinyl within the inner sleeve will be separated during shipment to help guard against seam damage to the outer jacket (outer sleeve).
