Description
Please read my description carefully before bidding. I will ship the item worldwide and will accept a free return if it doesn't match the listing description.
This one is the first mono and deep-grooved pressing of New Jazz Records NJLP-8228 "THE RAY DRAPER QUINTET". Featuring JOHN COLTRANE. This one is an original issue from New Jazz Records, not a reissue version by OJC or Classic Records. Recorded by Rudy Van Gelder in 1957 and released in 1958, with "RVG" stamped on the dead wax of both sides. Deep Groove on both labels. Purple labels.
Artists Include John Coltrane (tenor saxophone), Ray Draper (tuba), Gil Coggins (piano), Spanky DeBrast (bass), Larry Richie (drums).
The vinyl played NM- on Side A. Very very small few tics in the middle of song number 1. On Side B played NM with no background noise. Music is nice.
The cover is VG++. Strong and no split. No fading but small paper losses on spine (please see picture).
The record is play graded as well as visually. I attempt to grade conservatively, listing all significant flaws.
My grading is as follows: M (perfectly like new), NM, NM-/VG++, VG+, VG, VG-, G, G-.
You will be satisfied. And I will accept a free return. Please bid with confidence.
