This 78 has been cleaned on our Pro-Ject VC-S cleaning machine and played through once on each side on a record player with a sapphire tip stylus
Original UK 10" Shellac 78rpm single, issued in 1936 or 1937. Company sleeve. Cat number HMV BD5186
Side 1 has a couple of very light needle marks on the playing surface. It plays extremely well with some light background crackle.
Side 2 has a few needle marks, some thin light stains and a dull patch on the playing surface (see pictures 6 and 7). It plays well with light background crackle and some clicks caused by the needle marks. The dull patch does not seem to have any effect on playback sound (see pictures)
Both sides are credited in full as "Ray Noble and His Orchestra", with The Freshmen singing vocals (uncredited) on side one. Recorded 8th June, 1935
