R&B 1949 - RCA 50-0001 45rpm - Arthur Big Boy Crudup - KATIE MAY - rare red vinyl record
Here is the rare RCA 1949 original U.S. vinyl 45 rpm record of “KATIE MAY"/"BOY FRIEND BLUES” by Arthur "Big Boy" Crudup, "blues singer with guitar, string bass, and drums." It is an ORIGINAL red/cerise color vinyl RCA 45 rpm #50-0001 with off-blue label and gold print. This 45 has been used but is in good condition with the usual surface scratches and label ring wear. RCA introduced the 45rpm format with these colored vinyl series of blues records in 1949--fans still preferred 78's and these ended up being hard to find. Nice condition for a rare record that’s nearly 66 years old; you’ll be very pleased with this showpiece! Nearly impossible to find, and rarely offered.
