Please note: for proper balances on playback, 2-track tapes must be played on a 2-track machine.   Playback on a 4-track machine will not give proper weight to the channels and may not be satisfactory.

The first reference I have found to this 2-track tape comes from an advertisement in the May 1956 issue of High Fidelity.   This recording was actually made in stereo, but was never issued in stereo until very late in the LP era (ARL1-2044; 1977!!) - there was never any stereo issue in any format before that. The 1958 RCA Tape Catalog was the last one to include monaural tapes at all, so like all of the mono RCA open-reels, this is a very scarce item.

The tape is in excellent condition; the box is also in excellent condition - startlingly fine, given that this tape is now over sixty years old.
