Description

Hi!  You're looking at a amazing and EXTREMELY RARE ORIGINAL ISSUE of a recording that's on the audiophile RCA Red Seal "LIVING STEREO" "Shaded Dog" label--the serial number on the LP is LSC-2249 and it's a "Stereo-Orthophonic" High Fidelity STEREO recording on the bright red "Shaded Dog" label--it also has the stampers 1/S on side one and 1/S on side two, which indicates that this was one of the very first records off the pressers!!  It was pressed in 1959 during the period when RCA Red Seal was pressing and recording some of the best-sounding classical vinyl of all time!!  Best of all, the record is in absolutely superb, NEAR MINT condition with a cover that has virtually NO shelfwear, NO splitseams, a PERFECT spine, and NO markings of any kind; the vinyl is also in NEAR MINT condition with just two or three extremely light factory scuffs that do not affect play in any way--this is an absolutely beautiful copy!!  The record features a remarkable performance of the Opera "La Gioconda" by PONCHIELLI by the Orchestra and Chorus of the Accademia di Santa Cecilia, Rome, under the baton of FERNANDO PREVITALI.  The performers are ZINKA MILANOV, GIUSEPPE DI STEFANO, LEONARD WARREN, and ROSALIND ELIAS.  An absolutely fantastic ORIGINAL PRESS of a VERY hard to find, AUDIOPHILE RCA "Living Stereo" record!!

Thanks very much for looking, and good luck if you're bidding! Also be sure to check out all of my other vintage classical records--including a number of RCA Red Seal "Shaded Dog" ORIGINALS and two other great Van Cliburn recoreds on that labe --currently listed on ebay auctions!  I can combine shipping for just $1.00 per individual LP for multiple purchases in the U.S.!
