The record you are looking at is the last word in the connoisseur pressings, made from the original analog master tapes and pressed on the ultra-high-quality HQ-150 gram virgin vinyl.  This is probably the very final generation of the original RCA analog pressings, before the original master tapes start disintegrating and deteriorating beyond repair. Oh, I am sure the digital recordings will continue to be made from the enhanced and digitally restored tapes, but – as we all know by now – this is simply not the same thing anymore. Digital takes all the joy and the pizzazz out of Classical Music.

"RCA Living Stereo" recordings - mostly classical, but also a handful of pop and easy listening titles - were made under the supervision of the most knowledgeable technicians and engineers on earth. The sound is simply amazing. On  mint or near mint copies , quiet passages are so quiet - and the surface noise so conspicuously absent - that you will not even realize that your stylus has hit the surface of the record until the music starts. The highs are high, and the lows are very low. You are going to need a subwoofer and a hypersensitive tweeter to express some of these tonal ranges appropriately. This is the music for the ears, heart, soul, mind and guts alike.

(b)          The record is believed to come in its original inner, hi-grade MFSL PVC inner sleeve (We can see it through the opening slot of the cover).

(c)           The record is apparently pressed on a beautiful, thick, inflexible vinyl, which was usually used for the first or very early pressings. Usually, the sound on such thick vinyl pressings is full-bodied, vivid, and even dramatic. Do not expect to obtain such a majestic analog sound from a digital recording!

(d)          The record is pressed on a beautiful, high-quality, virgin-grade vinyl, which is usually used for audiophile, extended-dynamic-range, half-speed mastered and connoisseur pressings.

(e)           Of course, this is a full-bodied ANALOG recording, and not an inferior, digital recording!!!
