Description
RCA LSC 2326, Debussy/ Misc., “Clair de Lune,” Raymond Agoult, London Proms Symphony (1959), 4s/3s (I) Indianapolis pressing. This is NOT a reissue – it is the original 50+ year old shaded dog pressing. It is one of the harder to find of the Living Stereo LP's. Recorded in England, the sound is rich, full, warm and detailed, and the sound stage is deep and wide. This is my own personal copy, and the vinyl surfaces are clean, glossy and quiet. Side 1 is extremely quiet and plays NM. Side 2 also plays NM, except for one moderate tic near the middle of track 1 and one softer tic near the middle of track 3. There are some additional, barely audible tics on this side, and two very tiny pressing bubbles between tracks 1 and 2 that sound very softly. Overall this is a very nice copy that plays beautifully except as noted. The vinyl grading is NM / EX and the labels are clean with no spindle marks (see photos). The jacket is clean, but has the beginnings of a very small seam split in the center of the top edge (see photo) - therefore, jacket grading is EX. In summary, this is excellent copy of this wonderful golden-age recording. Feel free to return for full refund if not completely satisfied. Shipping is free anywhere in the continental US.
