Description
RCA LSC 2449 Classic Records beautiful 45 rpm set of 4 lp's reissued from the original analog master tapes on 200 gm vinyl. I am the original owner and I've played only two sides of it one time, so I would still grade this mint. The jackets have slight corner issues, but otherwise are EX. In a direct comparison with the two sided 33 1/3 rpm lp, this one is definitely airier and with more of the presence of the hall. There's also a deeper foundation present with the low frequencies. Truly a great recording and the 45 rpm version brings out the finest subtleties of the performance. This limited edition set by Classic records has not been available for years. Alexander Gibson conducts this performance with the Royal Opera House Orchestra at Covent Garden in London England. A true classic recording heard as never before on 4 single sided 12 inch LP'S. A stereo recording from the golden age of classical music recordings by the great Decca recording team. One of Jonathan Valin's top RCA picks. Get this while you can!
