Description
What an achievement, both on music and engineering! Look at the recording date and compare it to any later ones then you'll understand how remarkable it is. By the way, the cadenza to the first movement is composed by Heifetz himself, not the usual Joachim or Kreisler versions heard on other recordings.
It is extremely rare to find the 1S/1S pressing of this great gem, especially in this condition! It is also surprising to see it in the later cover. Most likely the original owner replaced a damaged early cover with the banner with this close to pristine one and I can't blame him/her! It's always easier to find a decent cover than a nice condition, 66 yr. old record!

Record condition: EX+/EX+ (shiny matrix but has some light surface spots and a shallow pressing bump, plays very close to NM- except a few muted thumps over the small hump)
Cover condition: NM-
Stampers: 1S/1S shaded dog RCA "I" pressing
