Description
Up for auction here is Albeniz' "Iberia" and Ravel's "Rapsodie Espagnole" as performed by the Paris Conservatoire Orchestra conducted by Jean Morel on the RCA label, catalog # LSC-6094. This 2 LP set is an Indianapolis pressing utilizing 1S stampers for all four sides. All four sides have some scuffs and light marks on them, with side 3 looking the worst. Because of the high value of this one, I decided to listen to it in its' entirety. All 4 sides play without any loud pops or snaps. They all play relatively the same with some low level surface noise and some light tics and pops. The recording is extremely vivid......I see why people are willing to pay so much for one. The cover suffers from writing on the back and some tape on spine (not because of splits....it was some sort of notation system to the previous owner) and an inventory sticker on front and some tape on the bottom seams (which may be covering seam splits, but I can't tell for certain). Shipping is $4 in the US (or $8 for Priority Mail), $14 to Canada and $24 to the rest of the world. Additional LPs are $1 each in the US, $3 to Canada and $6 each to the rest of the world. I pack records outside of the covers to protect the seams from splitting. They are shipped in dedicated record mailers with padded inserts. I spend a lot of time and money on shipping with care so your record looks as good when it arrives as it did when it left.
