Description

Rare and historic RCA Living Stereo Original LSC 1817 Offenbach Gaite Parisienne with the Boston Pops conducted by Arthur Fiedler is a available with your winning bid. This is a great copy. I listened to the record in its entirety and the play grade is mint- side two has one brief sections at the end of the side three or four tics and one small light scuff ( again at the end of the side that does not feel to the touch). The visual grade of the album cover front and back is mint ...an outstanding copy all in all (see below particulars).

This 11s/10s pressing is the preferred  pressing of this one of the first two stereo recordings by RCA that beckoned the golden age of stereo recordings.

This record was play graded by listening through each side in its entirety. Both sides have  pristine surfaces with one small light scuff at the end of side two and there are no spindle marks.

Sonically this record plays very quietly with a three or four tics at the end of one side. I classify records with absolute cd like playing character "Pristine". This record plays nearly at that level and of the eight original copies of this disc I have owned it is perhaps the quietest.

The record plays without distortion. The record has stunning attacks from a diverse array of instruments recorded that set a standard for recording in its day and the sound-staging is still something to treasure as are the great performances. This record was highly regarded by The Absolute Sound. This is the pressing to own if you have been looking for one of the Crown Jewels from the RCA Living Stereo catalog.

If you collect only absolutely pristine no noise lps this one will not be something for you. It is still a wonderfully enjoyable record. If you bid on the basis of mint- rating I think you will be quite satisfied with this record.

The cover/jacket is as close to perfect as I can imagine..it looks like it just came out of the record store. The paper sleeve even has to be pulled with extra effort..so tight is its fit as if it has never been our if its jacket.

Background information: I am a music collector and audiophile. Selling duplicate copies is not a lively hood but a way to help fund my wife's and my heart for serving overseas with a non-denominational non profit organization and to help get quality hard to locate records into the hands of music lovers.. I go out of my way to accurately describe the condition of anything I sell and my eBay ratings affirm this point. I would not appreciate a surprise if I were buying a record and do not want you to be disappointed either.

I sell quality records and this record is simply one of the elite from RCA with great sonics. I fully play through each record I sell.

Playback is through my personal stereo which has a two well respected turntables with high end moving coil and moving magnet cartridges that are painstakingly set up and maintained. I use a high resolution tube preamp and full range electrostatic speakers and additional sub woofers to grade each listing. My system is neutral and transparent and revealing. I cannot guarantee how the record will sound in your home because people use a wide array of gear set up in unique acoustic settings adjusted to personal tastes. I can spend hours and longer tweaking a cartridge. I hear minute differences in VTA, tracking force, anti skate and even the base the turntable rests upon. The way you have yours set up may highlight a certain aspect of a records character.  I strive for a balanced musical set up where small differences between pressings are easily heard but the musical heart of the recording is still allowed to thrive. I only offer records that I myself would buy.

If you cannot stand any noise on an LP I ask you not to purchase anything I offer even if rated mint. I have found even new sealed pressings often to have occasional tics and pops. Occasional pops and light tics can be found on most records that visually rate mint..that is why I audio grade each LP.

I have an outstanding eBay rating so you can purchase with confidence. You have three shipping options:

1. US Postal media mail where a signature is required to insure safe delivery. I will absorb the additional cost for the added signature.

2. I will securely ship your record via UPS with required signature upon delivery to insure safe delivery. The additional charges for the required signature ($4.00) are absorbed by me but does help prevent the chance of packages being stolen from a mail box or front porch.

I absorb any other shortfall in UPS charges that often occur due to calculator underestimates. I also assume all costs for new shipping boxes, bubble wrap and extra strong strapping tape. ( My packages are sometimes a little larger and heavier than other shippers but I have yet to have anyone receive a shipment from me that was damaged).

Shipment is normally made within 24 hours of receiving your Pay Pal payment which should be made no longer than 24 to 48 hours after placing the winning bid. I notify you the day shipment is made and provide a tracking number so you can monitor the shipment.

3. I will ship internationally only through eBay Global shipping. If your country is not on the Global Shipping countries list I will not be able to ship to you. No returns are allowed for overseas shipments.

I reserve the right to not sell to eBay members who are problematic such as those who have slow or no pay histories or those who also offer excessive negative feedback. I would like to think I am one of eBay's good guys and want to deal with similar people.
