Description
RCA Living Stereo LSC-2436, Respighi Pines of Rome & Fountains of Rome, Fritz Reiner cond The Chicago S.O. The dynamics on the showpiece "Pines" of this 15s/15s Indianapolis pressing compares favorably to my 1s/1s copy and in my opinion beats out the Chesky re-issue. One brief mystery static-y sound towards the end of The Fountains but otherwise in great condition.
A word on how I rate used records:
M: Perfect--does not exist in the real world.
NM: Most new records fall into this category.
EX: surfaces will be like new with no flaws discernible to the naked eye. There is likely to be some infrequent random ticks but VERY low in volume and unobtrusive. Repeating ticks or pops will downgrade a record from this category and in fact will rarely be offered.
I spot-check all recordings on a high resolution Audio system focusing on quiet passages, high excursion passages and suspect areas. I seldom play records in their entirety unless the music just carries me away
