Description
Here is an awesome item for audiophile collectors of RCA Victor "Living Stereo" shaded dog stereo classical albums. Up for auction is a highly sought-after A1-1S stamper pressing of the Respighi “Pines of Rome” and “Fountains of Rome” as performed by the Chicago Symphony, under the direction of Fritz Reiner. Catalog number is LSC-2436. This is the first time I have seen this rare stamper number, which indicates this is one of the first 500 copies pressed. For this title, it is my understanding that subsequent stamper numbers lack the clarity and brilliance of the A1-1S pressings due to problems at the factory. Both sides of this disc bear the A1-1S stamper.
Jacket is in excellent condition with no splits or writing, includes original grey RCA printed inner sleeve on heavy paper stock, in flawless condition.
Condition of vinyl is Near Mint, full 100% mirrorlike original gloss, no discernible flaws, appears to have been played not more than one or two times and handled with care. The brilliance and clarity are superb, and I am certain that the winning bidder will be very pleased. As always, your satisfaction is guaranteed.
