Boxed Set of Three (Unbreakable, Red Vinyl) Records
12” 78 RPM

Up for auction is a boxed set of three records, put out by RCA Victor titled 25th Anniversary Souvenir Serge Koussevitzky, Master of the Double-Bass. These are 12” 78 RPM records etched on red vinyl. They are said to be unbreakable. It is of very thick and heavy vinyl. I can’t find a release date for this set but the liner notes state that two sides (of the six) of the records were recorded in 1929.
The records are in good condition by appearance. (I wasn’t able to play them since I do not have a 78 RPM record player.) The first two records appear excellent on all sides but both sides of the third record have some scratches. I don’t know if they will affect the sound. The book holding the records is doing surprisingly well, with only minor wear along the edges and corners. The record sleeves have broken through on the outside edges. (They could be taped up.) The binding is tight and the records are snug and secure within.
