PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. Please keep in mind, we would prefer to continue to provide you the opportunity to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over 18,000 positive feedback. We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. SUPER RARE seldom seen, if ever, mid 70's ORIGINAL of an interesting underground hard edged rock band going by the name of SHAMROCK ... One of the more rare (less pressed) *TAX LOSS* Lp's by he infamous Herndersonville, NY tax loss record label with Johnny Kitchen connections, possibly related to Tiger Lily. Each album this company "released" was given a different company (label) name and was designed to extract funds from the government in a 'tax' loss scheme...
SHAMROCK definitely ranks high on the rarity and mystery scales. There is little information ANYWHERE except for the bibliographical info lifted off of the liner notes:
All five tracks penned by Traversino - Wayne Gunn who may have been a recording engineer at Quantum Studios ??? The album was self-produced and recorded at Don Sciarrotta and Howard Steele's Quantum Recording Studio, Terrance, California
So what's this one sound like? Well the set's five tracks were all jammers with the bulk of the collection showcasing a surprisingly likeable jazz-rock feel. NOT an instant turnoff at all which it might have been - but that is not the case here!
SHAMROCK's lead off effort 'Gypsy' is built on some nice, dirty electric guitar (shades of Jeff 'Skunk' Baxter) giving off kind of a mid-career Steely Dan feel - actually an interesting descriptor given that Steely Dan did some work at Quantum Studios. The second track, Shamrock is pretty, even if a little into the laid back cocktail groove. 'Knotty Pines' opts for a nice rock groove with highlight fuzz guitar solos. Yeah, clocking in at over nine minutes!
Side two opens with the one truly disposable track - 'Midnight' with lightweight jazz moves and no redeeming qualities. 'It's Not Forever' contains a good melody as well....
***While not a lost treasure, still, due to its "MORE than hard to find" status, SHAMROCK is on the levels of dinosaur extinction and the going rate in world collector circles currently at $150.+++ and only rising by the day.....

CONDITION: The cover: rated near M- / EX, a very hard to find CLEAN cover. If so lucky to be found usually suffers from cover wear due to fragile colors used on front cover. This is a grerat survivor and most likely the *best* you'll find. Has a clean M- back cover. Overall it's a top rated condition collectible with no split seams, no bends, no writing & no delete marks
The vinyl: all clean and clear over both sides; M- TOP LEVEL with clean "Blake" labels....
