Description
Ok,here for auction I have one of the holy grails of UK punk DIY collectables. Namely the Stop The World/Sus single by London band REACTA. Released on the Battery Operated label way back in 1979 and pressed in a ridiculously low run of just 300 copies. Both sleeve and vinyl remain in a decent and strong VG+/EX condition. The extremely thin paper sleeve remains completely intact with just some age related creasing and wear.I can't imagine many(if any) surviving copies being in much better condition. The vinyl itself is clean and scratch free though plays with some light crackle on the run ins. To be expected I guess!. I will provide a cdr copy I've done of this very single to the winning bidder. RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM
MINT :The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed be Mint.
EXCELLENT :The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD :The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
I may use a + or a - to emphasise a grading which may be inbetween a grade. I will never use a mint grading for a 2nd hand/used record for instance. Mint- will be the very highest grade.
